Meta Store

I joined Meta as the Interactive Producer for the launch of the first ever brick-and-mortar Meta Store. I was working on the store as Facebook rebranded to Meta and we created the first physical environment where all of the Reality Lab hardware products (Portal, Ray-Ban Stories, Quest 2) would be shown unified under the Meta brand.

I produced this mixed reality demo for Quest 2 which broadcasts a player’s live game feed onto a video wall with the player composited into the game. What sets this apart from other mixed reality feeds is the production quality we were able to achieve without the use of a green screen. This was made possible by a custom segmentation program that is able to separate the player from the background in real time. This whole demo system was deliciously complex, from the appointment booking system accessible through a Messenger Bot, to the remote headset control, to the show cues that trigger content on the screen. Please read more about it in this article.

In addition to the Quest 2 demo, I produced content for 3 digital signage screens, an interactive touchscreen where guests can explore game titles and learn more about Quest 2, and a Portal live demo calling booth.
